The Types of Commercial Roofs We Install
Modified Bitumen Roof
Modified bitumen roofing is similar to BUR and is for low-slope and flat roofs. They withstand extreme weather environments and even the harshest of exposure. It’s made of five distinct layers: insulation, modified base sheets, modified bitumen membranes, adhesive, and surfacing.
EPDM Roofs
Made out of a tremendously tough synthetic rubber, EPDM is a cost-effective and easily installable material for flat roofs. Since it’s made of rubber, it’s lightweight and flexible enough to fit on just about any roof. Whether it’s adhered, mechanically fastened, or ballasted, an EPDM roof isn’t going anywhere for the next 15-20 years. Coming in widths of 7.5 feet to 50 feet, it’s perfect for a small office building or a superstore.
Flat Roofs
Flat roofs are a very popular roofing option for commercial spaces because they are affordable and still work as a usable outdoor space. Although called “flat roofs,” they are not completely flat. Rather, they have a very low angle and should still be able to properly shed water. They lose a star due to the lack of communication with my roof repair and small gutter and siding replacement. Mike did a great job coming out, did an estimate, took half the payment. Said it would be a few weeks to get on the books which … More was fine. After a few weeks I contacted him and he said he would check on a date, never heard back. Materials were dropped off in my driveway without notice and I was concerned they could be stolen but figured they must be coming very soon to do the job. Ended up getting in touch with Nitasha through text, she set a date but due to rain it was cancelled which again was fine. I new date was set, they never showed which again no emergency but no communication on it. Nitasha reached out again and set a another date but again rain in the forecast so I was told have to re-schedule. A couple of guys ended up showing up on that same scheduled day in an unmarked van which I saw on my ring cam and thought maybe they were stealing the materials, so I sent a text to Nitasha, no reply. it ended up being Artisan after all with a supervisor who showed up in a marked vehicle later who I chatted with briefly when i got home and the roof was installed with no issues. Also had a gutter and siding that was to be replaced and again lack of communication with the office, they claim they sent me voicemail's that I never received and when I called the office one day there was no answer or a machine to leave a message. Finally got back in touch with Nitasha and she said she was trying to get someone out to finish the gutter and siding, finally a date was set and the job got done. I hired Artisan Building & Remodeling LLC in 7/2020 to replace my roof and rotted wood around the exterior of my home. The work done was a quality job and it definitely adds curb appeal to my home. The roof replacement took about a … More day and half. The work to replace all the wood around my home took 2 and half days. Both time frames were in line with the estimate given for the jobs. All of the people within the company were friendly and professional. They respected my home and property by doing simple things like moving potted plants that may have been damaged during the roof removal. Fred and the workers were responsive to my requests and questions; there was no need for me to repeat myself for anything. The clean up after the job was great, I found a few nails but that was minor considering the job. The only area I think is an opportunity for growth and the reason I gave 4-4.5 stars is related two occurrences of missed communication. Once was when the roofing material was delivered, I do not recall an estimated date being provided at the point of purchase and I didn't receive a call the week of delivery. The second time was when the date for the the second portion of the work was changed. I understand other factors like COVID-19, a heat wave and damage/power outages due to a tropical storm were occurring; however, a simple call to give a heads up would have solidified a 5 star rating from me. Other than these 2 times, communication was not a problem. Overall I'm satisfied with the job performed.Service: Roof installation

However, the customer service was … More excellent. They showed that customer satisfaction is a priority. Brandon and Fred made it clear that long term customer retention was important to them.Most of the issues were "attention to detail" type things. As these issues were brought to Brandon/Fred's attention they were corrected.Overall our new deck looks great and we are happy with it.
